More specifically: When a player with settled status (non-UK player playing in the UK) agrees to a new contract and is given a work permit, it seems like the work permit actually isn't given after all. After signing, the player is still listed with settled status.

Firstly, my tactics do include play out from the back and a high line, so I would expect the Centre backs to get a little bit more tired than usual, however I play as Celtic and dominate games domestically and I'm always having to substitute and rotate my centre backs due to them getting really tired compared to all other positions.
