However, with so many models of clinical supervision comes ambiguity and confusion about which clinical supervision model offers the best support for nursing students in the clinical learning environment. With the formation of HWA, five clinical Webbbase derives from Proctor’s (1987) three-function model of clinical supervision, and Hawkins and Shohet’s (2012) adapta-tion of that model.
